The email addresses of the Finnish Government ministries will change in the course of the second half of 2021. The Ministry of Finance will take into use new email addresses with a single ‘gov.fi’ suffix on 20 September.





Timeline of budget preparation for 2022

Timetable for the preparation of the budget proposal:

  • Wednesday 11 to Thursday 12 August: Budget session at the Ministry of Finance
  • Friday 13 August: The Ministry of Finance will submit its proposal to the Ministries and publish it at budjetti.vm.fi (in Finnish)
  • Tuesday 7 to Wednesday 8 September: Government negotiations on the Budget
  • Monday 27 September: A debate of the Budget proposal will be held at an extraordinary Ministerial Finance Committee meeting and a government plenary session and the publication at budjetti.vm.fi (in Finnish)
