To keep the COVID-19 situation from getting worse, we need to work together. Let’s take care of each other, starting with ourselves.

Starting on 19 November, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare want to remind us of five important ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in a new campaign called ‘Let’s take care of each other, starting with ourselves’.
Remember these five tips to tackle COVID-19:
1. If you have symptoms, get tested for COVID-19 and then stay home
2. Keep a safe distance of 1–2 metres from others
3. Wash your hands and cover your mouth with your sleeve when you cough
4. Wear a face mask whenever you can’t keep a safe distance from others
5. Download the Koronavilkku mobile app
The campaign will be visible in the coming weeks on TV, radio and social media. People taking part in the campaign include
President Tarja Halonen
Jarmo Koski
Pelle Miljoona
Michael Monroe
Jussi Ahokas
Roni Back
Aira Samulin
Pekka Hyysalo
Sara La Fountain
Markku Kanerva
Paula Koivuniemi
James Nikander
Marco Bjurström

The campaign also has a component targeted at young adults, which will be mainly visible on Instagram. Both parts of the campaign have the same message. A variety of key Finnish social media influencers, opinion leaders, student and youth organisations and sports associations have been invited to participate in the young adults’ campaign. Almost 70 individuals and organisations have already joined.
We are encouraging everyone to share the five tips (#5valttia) for COVID-19 prevention on social media and to inspire their family members, friends and loved ones to help tackle COVID-19 by taking care of each other.
