The VATT Institute for Economic Research is an expert organisation in applied economics research in the administrative branch of the Ministry of Finance. VATT assesses the impact of policy measures on individuals, households and businesses by making use of extensive registry data and statistical methods. VATT also provides expert support for the preparatory work for decision-making and the assessment of economic policies.

Finnish Supervisory Agency
The Finnish Supervisory Agency is a multi-sectoral central government authority that operates nationwide. It discharges licensing, supervision, registration, guidance and implementation duties and supervises public interest. The Agency started operations on 1 January 2026, bringing together all the duties of Valvira, most of the licensing, guidance and supervision duties of the Regional State Administrative Agencies and majority of the environmental duties of the ELY Centres.

State Treasury
The State Treasury is a multidisciplinary government agency. It produces internal corporate services for central government, such as financial, personnel administration and knowledge-based management services, and is responsible for central government borrowing as well as debt and liquidity management and the government's central bookkeeping. The State Treasury also grants military injury, crime damage and accident compensations and administers the loans, interest subsidies and state guarantees granted by other government organisations.is a multiple service bureau run on the principles of management by results. Its responsibilities include intra-government financial administration, insurance, military injuries and other veteran affairs, and development of steering systems for central government agencies.
Tax Administration
The Tax Administration attends to taxation within its own purview. The Tax Administration collects approximately two-thirds of all taxes and tax-like payments in Finland.
