Evaluation of basic services

The Evaluation Section of the Advisory Committee on Local Government Finances and Administration prepares the Report on Basic Public Services every second year.  It provides an overall image of basic services to decision-makers on different levels of administration.

The data evaluated in the report were obtained from the National Institute for Health and Welfare, the Ministry of Education and Culture, and the Regional State Administrative Agencies. The report also makes use of data compiled by Statistics Finland on local government finances and activities. Furthermore, it uses data from various government reporting and control systems.

Every two years, the section arranges an evaluation forum for basic services concerning the report.
