German Finance Minister Christian Lindner to visit Helsinki
Finnish Minister of Finance Annika Saarikko will meet with German Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner in Helsinki on Wednesday 15 February.
The ministers will discuss, among other things, the economic situation and the consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The meeting will also focus on the economic governance review, which is one of the key topics on the agenda of the EU’s Economic and Financial Affairs Council this spring.
While in Helsinki, Lindner will also meet with Governor of the Bank of Finland Olli Rehn. They will discuss the outlook for the European economy, energy markets and employment.
The German Minister of Finance will also visit the Parliament of Finland, where he will meet with members of the Grand Committee.
In the evening, Lindner will give the keynote speech at an event called The Future of the European Economy held at the Helsinki Central Library Oodi. The event is open to the public, but advance registration is required.
