Juha Majanen appointed as Permanent Secretary until end of year

On 8 September, Minister of Finance Matti Vanhanen appointed Director of Administrative Governance and Development Juha Majanen to the position of Permanent Secretary for the period 1 October – 31 December 2020.

Majanen’s appointment is valid for no longer than the period until the five-year fixed-term post of Permanent Secretary has been filled.

Minister of Finance Vanhanen has also appointed Information Director Irja Peltonen to the fixed-term position of Director of Administrative Governance and Development for the period 1 October – 31 December 2020. The appointment is nevertheless not to exceed the period of Majanen’s leave of absence.

The present Permanent Secretary, Martti Hetemäki, will be leaving the Ministry of Finance on 30 September 2020.
